The Governor Imo State is not backing down on unveiling statues, as that of the Ghanaian President is the next in line to be unveiled.
In his offer to transform Imo State into the home of statues, the cryptic Governor of the State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has consummated plans to unveil the statue of the Ghanaian President, Nana Akufo-Addo.
The commissioning of the statue of Akufo-Addo is coming shortly after Okorocha unveiled those of the South African and Liberian Presidents, Jacob Zuma and Mrs. Elle Sirleaf-Johnson respectively.
Even though there has been a serious public outcry on the past unveiling and naming of streets after Zuma and Sirleaf-Johnson, Okorocha is defying all and going ahead to unveil more statues in what he calls the Imo Hall of Fame.
It will be recalled that Nana Akufo-Addo, as president-elect, visited Imo State for the celebration of their Thanksgiving Day as the Special Guest of Honour in the state.
